About Star Wars... The original Star Wars action figures were a line of toys manufactured
by the Kenner company (in the U.S.) that were designed to represent all of the major
and minor characters of the Star Wars franchise. These vintage Star Wars
action figures are based exclusively upon the first three films of the
Star Wars franchise known as episodes four through six. The vintage star
wars action figures and toys that are most highly sought after by
collectors are based on key vehicles and settings from the original Star
Wars films, such as Han Solo's Millennium Falcon and Jabba's Sail
Barge. Many of these play sets are available in lots that contain all of
the parts and figures needed for a particular panorama. Collectors can
also often find some great deals on Star Wars action figures by
purchasing lots containing multiple figurines from different Star Wars
movies, especially if a collector is interested in amassing a sizable
collection of figures. Although some people purchase Star Wars figures
for their children, most vintage Star Wars action figure collectors are
interested in these products for more nostalgic reasons. The Star Wars
action figures that were released during the late 70s and early 80s were
the first line of toys to be marketed so successfully as merchandise
accompanying a major Hollywood film, and an entire generation of
children grew up playing with Star Wars toys.
